COPS HAVE TREMENDOUS PSYCHOLOGICAL ADVANTAGE IN COURT "Baltimore police officer Edward Nero acquitted in Freddie Gray case: Why it's so hard to convict cops " CBS News

The only solace in cases of injustice is that God will be the final judge, and He won't get it wrong.
"
"People want and are willing to give police officers the benefit of the doubt, when they're in uniform, and they're making split-second decisions, in very difficult environments," Baer said...."

NOTICE HOW the COP KEEPS SAYING "STOP RESISTING" for the CAMERA: "‘I Quit,’ Handcuffed Man Says in Video of Fatal Encounter With Georgia Police "- NYTimes.com

THERE may have been some initial resistance...but then the cop started "playing for the camera" and kept tazing him and kept repeating the words "stop resisting, stop resisting" for the camera...

...which is what they are trained to do for the camera so that all of us think that the person is struggling even when he may NOT in fact be struggling anymore. In this case, as you can see, a few seconds after the cop was repeating "stop resisting" the guy in fact was NOT even breathing, because he was dead.

The cops use the words "stop resisting" as a ploy for audio or video tape whether or not the person is actually resisting. They say "stop resisting" so that they can, subsequently, defend any and all physical actions and excessive force they may use against the person. It's unethical and cowardly.

Most cops are decent people but they are trained to do this by their attorneys (ie the department attorneys who are the real cowards and creeps...; if they would train the cops to be real men and act with discretion and honesty in every situation, this kind of thing wouldn't happen. It's the creepy attorneys and union people who turn cops into creeps.

Wow! Sounds like my situation. "U.S. man fights for refugee status in Costa Rica "-The Tico Times

I actually thought about returning to Costa Rica. Meanwhile I live as a refugee in my own country due to police corruption. Praying 4 Bill Perry.

"Perry wrote in a letter from the detention center: "At the prison (sic) I made it clear I wanted to apply for refugee/asylum in Costa Rica due to the fact I have been on the run for my life from police corruption in the United States for over seven..."

THIS HAPPENED TO ME IN PASADENA AS WELL : la weekly re "shielded from scrutiny" 4/22/16 (re lapd police misconduct)

la weekly re "shielded from scrutiny" 4/22/16 (re lapd police misconduct)

they wouldn't allow me to gain any information about the cops who injured me at the traffic accident. they could do all the background searches on me they wanted..they subpoened my teaching file and my hospital chaplain file...and just about everything else so they could "go fishing" about my life and try to find a speck in my eye, but I was not allowed to know a single thing about the cops backgrounds, experiences, even possible previous misconduct...it is ALL shielded from inspection. They could literally hire convicted felons and we the public would not be allowed to know it. Its really sleazy when you get too close to the reality of it.

"

In Copley Press v. Superior Court, issued in 2006, the court ruled 6-1 to make the commission's proceedings secret. The ruling also closed off access to similar bodies across the state, including the Board of Rights, which handles disciplinary appeals at the Los Angeles Police Department, and the L.A. County Civil Service Commission, which performs the same function for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department...."

Fwd: 4/14/16 pasadena weekly re pasadena shooting (re flores)

LOOKS LIKE THEY MIGHT HAVE DONE THINGS RIGHT THIS TIME
4/14/16 pasadena weekly re pasadena shooting (re flores)...but do you  notice the chief (Philip Sanchez) sole focus is on the safety & well-being of "his" police officers. Pasadena PD is ALL about "us" versus "them". That sort of inward-turning ideology continues to infect them and causes them to be limited in their effectiveness in interactions with the community & especially in de-escalation efforts. They get so "geeked up" when dealing with the public it immediately raises the stakes and treats even decent citizens as potential enemies. And some of that comes from above...the city attorneys or the chief himself et al set the tone...if one assistant city attorney sets a bad tone it trickles down. Could it be.....Halford??!
